In 2015, we opened The Alpha junior School, providing education to slum, street, and vulnerable children in the slums of Bugembe Town council Jinja city. In 2022 we relocated to our permanent home at Igenge hill, besides Busoga Royal palace at Buwekula village, Daniel purchased in 2020. Here, our well-trained and loving staff begin the process of equipping learners and provide them with the life skills, knowledge, writing and reading skill needed for daily life

We offer a top-notch academic education for learners from Early childhood Development -P7. The Alpha Junior School focuses on excellent academics, critical thinking, servant leadership, nurturing relationships, and a Christianity values.

We believe every child is made in the image of God and has infinite worth. Our well-trained school staffs are life-long learners and come from all over the Uganda.  We all share a passion for giving Ugandan students the tools of learning, so they will be able to live life fully for the glory of God

FROM SLUM TO SUCCESS: “THE JOURNEY OF A SLUM CHILD”

In the bustling towns of Uganda, beneath the shadows of skyscrapers, lies a stark reality that many overlook- thousands of children living in the slums face an uphill battle for survival. Poverty, hunger, lack of education and minimal opportunities often trap these children in a cycle of despair. However, amidst this struggle, there is a beacon of hope: ALPHA JUNIOR SCHOOL. Through their tireless efforts, Alpha Junior School has been able to rewrite the story of countless children. Transforming lives and giving them the tools and skills to succeed.

THE STRUGGLES FACED BY SLUM CHILDREN

Life in the slums is fraught with challenges. Many children in these areas are forced into labor at a young age to support their families; education is often a distant dream, as survival takes precedence over schooling. Without proper guidance or resources, these children are deprived of opportunities to break free from poverty. They lack access to basic needs such as clean water, nutritious food, and sate shelter. These harsh living conditions make it difficult for them to envision a future beyond the “slum walls”

This is where ALPHA JUNIOR SCHOOL steps in, offering a glimmer of hope. Recognizing the potential of in every child, Alpha Junior School believes that EDUCATION is the key to breaking the chains of poverty. Through targeted programs that focus on education, mentorship and skill development, Alpha Junior School is changing lives of slum children.
